Bug Fixes & Updates
CORVUS » Devlog

First off I want to thanks everyone who's checked out CORVUS, reported the bugs they've found, and offered feedback on some of the pain-points they've come across while playing. Here's some of the updates and fixes you'll find in the most recent version of the game:
- More forgiving jumps: I've added a slight window after you've left a ledge where you can still initiate the jump. This should help with some annoying edge cases where if felt like you really should have jumped there.
- Collision Bug Safety: While I've been unable to pinpoint the specific reason for some of the collision errors players have run into, I've put in a safety system to prevent it from ruining a run. If you get stuck in a wall you'll be teleported to the beginning of the room after a short delay. I'll be keeping an eye on this and will hopefully be rolling out a more comprehensive fix in the future.
- Improved tutorial: I've added an interstitial screen at the start of the game that breaks down the control scheme for new players.
- A Second control scheme: For those who found the W/A/S/D+J/K control scheme to be awkward, I've implemented a secondary LEFT/RIGHT/UP/DOWN + Z/X option. Both can be used at any point in a run.
I'll be keeping an eye on the newly implemented community board and addressing any additional issues that arise there.
Thank you all for playing.
